It is a full day ride.
We left Madryn at 9 am on our way south and west along Route 25 that connects the coast with the Chubut mountain range.
During the kilometers that we will travel, the landscape will be flat plateau until we begin to see the first heights and thus reach the Florentine Ameghino dike, a work of hydraulic engineering, which competes with the spectacular nature of the natural landscape.
In a first image the lake of the dike appears of an emerald green color, enclosed between walls of volcanic formation of the Jurassic, hundreds of meters high, reddish-brown in color. The dam produces electrical energy and the landscape that the work gives us is imposing.
We have time to walk the trails and enjoy an afternoon on the banks of the Chubut River.
We return at approximately 6:00 p.m. to the city of Puerto Madryn.
This excursion is booked in advance.
